All Electronics Corp - Parts, Supplies and Components

One of the bigger surplus outfits. Lots of "stuff" in addition to a good selection of basic components.

Ask Jan First

Located in Germany, but a legend amongst Nixie tube aficionados.
Also has a large information section (some in German only) of old catalogs, spec sheets, and other info for nixie tube and other tube projects.

C and H Sales Company

They have been in the surplus biz for 50 years, and it looks like they still have some of their original stock for sale!

The web site looks decidedly low tech, but they have some amazing stuff.

This is the sort of place to look at when you really don't know what you are looking for!

Dan's Small Parts and Kits

Dan's Small Parts is an amazing thing.  A mail order business in the internet age.  Located in
Missoula, Montana it is the kind of place you wish you could visit just to wander the aisles. You can't though, Dan does not allow walk ins.  Says so right on the site.

If you are looking to stocka parts closet Dan's is THE place.  He sells great assortments and bags of components quite cheaply.  You know that the stuff means something to him because every other part is described as "a nice little part".

Dan stocks lots of variety too. Resistors, capacitors, transistors, ICs, diodes, crystals, almost everything.  Lots of RF related parts like toroids, coils, and trimming caps.

Digilent

Xilinx-based FPGA (field programmable gate array) boards. High end development tools for special purpose solutions. They sell a range of FPGA boards and lots of add ons to do specific tasks.

DonTronics

Located in Australia but they have a great reputation, and will ship to the US. The shipping is a little pricy though.

Enormous selection of micro-controller development boards and tools. Lots of cool add-on modules (xbee, USB, CNAbus, etc.)

Electronic Surplus

pretty much what the name says...
Have not ordered anything but they have a nice selection.

They do have a $15 minimum though.

Electronix Express

Good test equipment site. Educational kits and the normal component selection.

"$20 minimum for merchandise, shipping extra. For orders less than $20, an additional handling fee may be charged."

Excess Solutions

Yet another surplus place. Seem to have low prices, nice hardware selection, lots of relays and potentiometers.

Futurlec

Futurlec has a very good selection of basic components, but they also have a wide range of ther things usually hard to find. Smart cards and readers, RFID tags and readers, unusal keyads, lots of good stuff. You should definitely check out their "Mini Board" modules which provide add on capabilities to micro-controllers for everything from MP3 players to stepper drivers to ehternet.

Golab Electronic Kits and Components

Some very interesting kits. Lots of great PIR motion sensor kits.

Herbach & Rademan

One of the best and oldest surplus places around. And the are in Moorestown, NJ (buy local).

hobby engineering

Robot kits, and robotics parts. Micro-controllers, and tools.

HOSFELT ELECTRONICS

Yet another surplus place.
Wide range of parts and "stuff".

HSC Electronics Supply

Billed as "silicon valley's electronic marketplace". They have a good selection of parts, and I am told their retail store is a must visit for makers in CA.

Images SI

Some really interesting sounding kits, unusual sensors, and other cool stuff. They seem to be aiming at the advanced science fair type of audience.
